Some big changes will be happening very soon regarding the Real Estate Industry. This is a good read for any consumers or people who work in the Real Estate Industry. "According to local legend the Heriot Bay Inn on Quadra Island is home to one of the most active ghosts on the entire west coast."
"Because we are committed to strengthening the communities where we live and work, Royal LePage is the only Canadian real estate company with its own charitable foundation. The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and violence prevention programs. Every dollar raised goes directly to helping the more than 30,000 women and children who are served each year by the shelters and support programs we fund. Since 1998, the Shelter Foundation has raised more than $20 million and currently supports 200 local women’s shelters and national partners. Our agents donate a portion of their commissions and Royal LePage offices across Canada hold local fundraising events. Our brokers, agents and staff also volunteer and provide in-kind goods to benefit the women and children residing in their local shelters."
Canada day is around the corner! Stumped for ideas on what to do this upcoming long weekend? Heres a few ideas from us at Heather Parker Real Estate Consulting.
"The solstice is celebrated by a variety of cultures worldwide. Every year, thousands gather at Stonehenge in Wiltshire, England, to rejoice the prospect of sunny summer days. As if this day wasn't already a wonderful excuse to run outside, Monday will also feature a full "Strawberry" moon -- the name comes from the belief that strawberry-picking season is at its peak during this time of the year"
Our first annual Royal LePage Salmon Derby was a success!
Quite obviously positioned on the rocky shores of the beach along the Rotary Sea-walk, two km south of the downtown core of Campbell River, rests the “Big Rock”. This forty foot tall monolith is the proprietor of numerous local First Nations cultural legends in relation to its origin. The scientific explanation is that Big Rock is an erratic, which was embedded in an iceberg during the last ice age and was carried to its present location where it was deposited.
